I do not have any fancy art training, but I am driven by an insatiable love of the craft. After quitting my “real” job back in 2020, I was fairly lost (as many of us were in the early days of the pandemic). Nevertheless, as a card carrying introvert I must admit that being forced to stay at home was utterly delectable. And Covid offered me a portal into a world I had never thought was available to someone with bills to pay. (And boy do I still have bills to pay…). But, despite a chorus of nervous moans from pretty much everyone in my life, I took the plunge.
Now, in 2026 it is still (unsurprisingly) not easy to run a business selling custom art, but we don’t choose our passions. They choose us. And so I must answer the call. And I love nothing more than animals, so the motivation is and will always be there.
Plus, sadly, our pets almost never outlive us, which means there is a market for art that honors the lives of the furry beings we love and will inevitably lose. So hug your dogs and cats and parakeets. Hug them with every ounce of love in your soul. And when the time comes I would be honored to help you remember them.
